Engage Your Family Legacy on Senior Citizen’s Day

Grandmother With Daughter And Granddaughter In Park

Did you know there are more than 10,000 people who turn 65 years old each day? According to the NY Times, there will be over 89 million people in America over the age of 65 by the year 2050. Here at Keyline, we look at this as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements senior citizens have made during their lives, as well as honor the family legacy and wisdom they have imparted in our lives and the generations following.

When we think about Senior Citizens Day, we often think about our own grandparents who laid the foundation, values and traditions that bespoke the importance of family. We think about our own parents who continued that same legacy, often making sacrifices for their families to ensure the success of their children. We also think about our neighborhood senior citizens, who too played a critical role in the upbringing of children through many generations. As we hear over and over, it takes a village and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to serve elders that have had such an impact on the generations.

When we see senior citizens today, one should pause to wonder how they feel about their legacy and about all the stories in their hearts that they want and need to share, imparting wisdom on today’s generation.
